Sometimes you start great, first 10 - 15min you triple your stack, then for an hour you get only the crappiest of hands, and when you finally get a good hand, either everyone folds before you even play, or you get a cooler and give good part back. It is like you make a step forward and take two backwards. I have a full house, they got a better full house. I have AA or KK, they get the card they need at the river. And the worst is that they win a lot, all my losses are mainly to bad beats. It seems to me that in the microstakes (2NL, 5NL), strategies and theory do not work as they are taught or "should", because the guys at those stakes are not even playing poker, they are playing roulette and game of chicken. I deeply studied this thing for a couple months (the whole day, all sorts of books, courses), practiced a couple more, when I finally started with real money, first week I Was doing fine, but it seems it was down to luck of getting good cards - obviously it is very easy to win with good hands that connect to the board. Does anyone here makes any money playing the micros? After 20K hands, I am not even at breakeven, only losses.
